Karela United ended the first round of the Ghana Premier League as leaders after cruising to a 2-0 win at the Crosby Awuah Park Sunday.
Umar Bashiru and Kwame Boateng scored in the first and second halves respectively to ensure the Anyinase Boys return to winning ways at home.
Three times MVP this season, Umar Bashiru met a brilliant Kwame Boateng cross in the 26th minute to hand Karela United the lead.
The host controlled and dominated the half but could not take their chances before the break.
Liberty Professionals has their moments after the break but Karela were very organized defensively stopping any threat from Abraham Wayo.
