Five players from Hearts of Oak are set to be invited to the Black Stars B team for the upcoming Championship for Africa Nations (CHAN) qualifiers, according to reports.
The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) is set to hold the draw for the CHAN tournament on Thursday in Cairo.
Ghana will get to find out it opponents when the draw is held.
Coach Annor Walker who holds the position as head coach of the domestic team for the national team has invited five players from the Ghanaian giants.
Defender Mohammed Alhassan, goalkeeper Richard Atta, forward Daniel Afriyie Barnie, midfielder Ibrahim Salifu and Seidu Suraj have been named on the yet-to-be-announced squad.
Ghana have failed to qualify for the tournament in the last three editions and will hope to make it this time around.
The Black Stars ‘B’ are two-time silver medalist after reaching the final in the maiden edition in 2009 and in 2014.
Algeria will host the next edition of the tournament which comes off in January 8-31, 2023
