Hasaacas Ladies coach Yusif Basigi has heaped praise on Ghana's First Lady Rebecca Akufo Addo for her sustained support and commitment to the team ahead of their CAF Women's Champions League final against Mamelodi Sundowns tonight.
Mrs. Akufo Addo sent goodwill messages to the team on Thursday in Cairo ahead of the historic final against the South Africans.
The First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, has been a leading advocate for women empowerment and has used her office for the growth and development of women in football and other sectors.
And Hasaacas Ladies coach Yusif Basigi has been wowed by the unparraled commitment from the wife of the Ghanaian leader Nana Akufo Addo.
"I must commend the First Lady of Ghana, Her Excellency Rebecca Akufo Addo for her sustained commitment to this team. Her financial support has been extremely rewarding and we're grateful to her," Basigi told GHANAsoccernet.com from Cairo
"She spoke to the players and technical team yesterday and we're very happy about that.
"Her message of support has boosted the confidence and morale of the team and I'm confident we'll bring the Cup home."
The Ghanaian outfit Hasaacas Ladies FC will face Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Women's Champions League final on Friday after winning their semi-final match against Moroccan outfit ASFAR.
Downs Ladies defeated Equatorial Guinean team Malabo Kings 5-4 in the penalty shoot-out following a 0-0 draw at the end of regulation time.
Hasaacas Ladies have simply been unstoppable, winning three matches and drawing one enroute to the final.
It will be the second meeting between the two nations in less than a week after Bafana Bafana lost 1-0 to the Black Stars in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in Cape Coast last Sunday.
